  15. his California historical novels and westerns; in San Francisco.
  16. In 1947 Duel in the Sun, his book about a half-breed Indian woman
  17. and two brothers from Texas, was turned into the classic film of
  18. its genre, starring Jennifer Jones and Gregory Peck. Among the
  19. screenplays Busch co-wrote were The Postman Always Rings Twice
  20. and The Westerner.
